Starting school is an exciting time for both children and their families. At Bellbrae Primary School, students learn through exploring, questioning and play in the classroom and school community. Students will develop their understanding of school life whilst establishing positive learning behaviours and routines. We strive to ensure our students feel safe and connected by providing a warm and supportive classroom environment with a strong focus on hands-on learning. Our teaching program is individualised and caters for each student to experience success at school. We promote critical and creative thinking skills starting in Foundation to equip students with problem solving and resilience for their primary school lives and beyond.
Our classroom based programs focus on Oral Language, Literacy, Numeracy, Integrated Studies and Respectful Relationships. In addition to these students are also involved in:
Foundation Transition Program
At Bellbrae Primary School, we believe starting school is a major life transition for children and their families. It’s a time of change that can be both rewarding and challenging for both children and parents. To assist and familiarise your child with our school and its routines, we provide an engaging and comprehensive transition program to facilitate a smooth transition from Pre-school to Primary school.
During remote learning in 2020, we developed a virtual transition website.

teachers and Foundation students.
